I don't know if the Bowed Psaltery is used much on the folk scene but back in the seventies it was very popular. I do know, though, that we were the first group to introduce it. We were doing the music for two radio plays about the Peasant's Revolt and were looking for the right sounds when an old friend, Bob Bradbury, came along one night with this funny little instrument. Bob Common, who was in the group then made a copy of it, and that's the one I still play today. This tune is also known as 'A Rosebud by My Early Walk'. Too long for me!
