I know, you've only just recovered from last years Yetminster Fair but it will soon be time to get your tickets for the concert and prepare yourselves for another splendid day out in the blazing sunshine on July 11th. For details of camp sites etc. Plus your tickets contact June & Ron Page, 3 Bucklers Mead, Yetminster, Sherborne, Dorset DT9 6LA. Telephone: 01935 872940. Sherborne Tourist information will also be delighted to help you if you need accommodation. Their Telephone No is 01935 815341.

We will have our usual get-together at The Weavers Club, Westbury, Sherborne on the 10th for a few songs, a bit of music and a spot of nosebag, These evenings are turning out to be very entertaining. The music nights at The West End Hall are fairly informal but at The Weavers anything goes. Last year we performed a 'Musical Heritage of Thomas Hardy' concert in Yetminster church to help raise funds for its renovation and this year we have fixed to do a 'Banks of Newfoundland' one on Friday, October 2nd. Tickets from June & Ron Page as usual or bring some extra cash and you can buy them at Yetminster on fair day.

Our usual run of Tuesday nights in The Ocean Room at the Weymouth Pavilion Complex starts on the 14th of July and runs through to September 29th. If you are around with your family do drop in and see us. We'll have you all singing, dancing, telling jokes and if you are really good Bonny might give away double bike miles. You don't have to book beforehand, just wamble along at 7.45p.m.

I think it's fair to say that we had a right good time at Halsway. Good food, good company, plenty of music and dancing, incredible weather in beautiful surroundings. Terrific. The only complaints I heard were from those who reckoned we had worked them too hard. I know it took me a couple of days to recover so maybe they have a point. many people immediately re-booked for next year, February 26th-28th, and accommodation is limited so if you fancy a bit of a frolic to welcome in the spring please get in touch with Halsway soon and get your name on the list. Telephone 01984 618274.

Over the years I have written quite a few songs, poems and bits of nonsence which have just been languishing in the files so I thought I would show them a bit of daylight and see if I could, by mixing in a few of my other favourite songs, make up a solo album. I suppose it is the ultimate indulgence. It will be called 'A Load of Old Bales' after the song, and I will have copies by the end of May. Other tracks included are 'The Farmers Lament', 'Yeastie Beasties', Reflections On My Birth', 'The Blackbird in the Tree', 'Thomford Village Outing', and 'The Beer Hacket Blues'. Bonny.
